Bukhara 2

The second half of our first day in Bukhara we spent just walking around and enjoying the sights. We found the minaret the most interesting as it was also nicknamed the tower of death - criminals were thrown off the top of the minaret, and it was also used as a guide for those arriving to Bukhara in the desert. Although a tall minaret, I didn't think that it seemed much taller than those in Khiva either.











Many of the locations we saw had to do with shopping opportunities, and therefore I will share some of the nicer pictures to give a sense of the items we saw overall.
