Exhibition
At the end of May Didzis completed his Exhibition. An Exhibition within the Primary Years Program is a way for the students to show what it is that they have learned in the process of their elementary years. They choose a topic to focus on within the context of an organizing theme and a central idea agreed upon by the class. The students work for over 2 months simply inquiring, taking action, and then prepare for a large school wide presentation. Didzis' focus was on: Depression and Suicide. He and his partner were very well prepared and were able to answer detailed questions about what causes depression, how people are affected by it, and how to help someone who is depressed. Here are some pictures of the work he and his partner did.
Showing how neurons work causing the chemical imbalance in people with depression.
Listening to the audio visual movie about how people who are depressed might appear to others - the music was composed by Didzis' partner Nick.
Explaining about his research to another parent.
