The mouse got away

Last night's mouse stole the bread with peanut butter from the trap and escaped without setting off the trap. Namejs is very happy, and declared that we have an extremely smart mouse in the house.

I did finish the planners. :-)

Hi Gita
You don't know me (yet - we might meet if you are in Riga in July) but I went to school with your Mum in Perth and hope to visit her in Riga in July this year. First time in about 50 years! I now live in Nottingham, England and, like your Mum, I'm retired. Also I had an accident years ago and have been paralysed ever since so your Mum is being great and checking out a suitable hotel for me to stay. In her last email she gave me your blog address so I thought I'd try and contact you - even if you have never heard of me. But the very fact you are working in Tashkent is really interesting to me as I have also travelled a fair bit and you learn so much from living in other countries.
Your Mum and your sister are working hard on the farm every weekend, so guess when you go there in June (your Mum said you would be going then) you will have to join the 'chain gang'!
Hope you don't mind me writing and now I will read all the rest of your blog. So far I've just been amazed at the food in the market. Didn't realise there would be so much choice, but of course Tashkent has been around just a bit longer than little England!
Bye for now. Hope to see you later.

Hi Sylvia,
I can leave responses to comments here also. I hope you come back and read more, and I look forward to meeting you in the summer.

I am not sure that I will join the chain gang too often as I will be traveling partially, and I will be staying at my little beach house that I rent and hope to relax a bit too. Too much work during summer holidays for teachers is not healthy. :-)
